Top 10 Cybersecurity News Websites

In this article we’re going to be going over the top ten cybersecurity news sites and what makes them so special. In no particular order, starting at no

No.1: CISA.

CISA stands for Cybersecurity Infrastructure Security Agency or America Cyberdefense Agency as they bill themselves. This is a fantastic website for official releases of information, it’s not a Wired.com type of site where you’ll get tons of daily updates – but it’s worth reviewing reports from CISA, they can be very insightful.

No.2 Wired.com

Since I had to go and mention wired.com in what was supposed to be a recommendation for CISA as a credible source. I might as well do the same for wired.com which is itself a fantastic daily-take for cybersecurity (and other) news.

No.3 https://www.securityweek.com/

SecurityWeek is a fantastic all-around type of cybersecurity website, one which contains a lot of great content about a wide range of cyber and infosec topics, it’s updated often and well curated as well as mobile friendly to the max.

No.4 https://thehackernews.com/

The thehackernews.com is a fantastic resource for all things online security related. The site is well designed and frequently updated. It’s as much a top contender as any of the rest in our estimation and none so far have a very biased view to them at all – not will any we recommend. |

No.5 snwire.com

Security Newswire is a unique website to put on this list in that they cover a wide – wide – range of security related topics. Everything from unique pieces on the geopolitics of cybersecurity to companies who are offering newer AI powered solutions for security – if it’s up and coming in the cybersecurity world, you will find on snwire.com

No.6 darkreading.com

Dark Reading is a massive community-driven site – kind of like a central hub that organizes CyberSec news into a digestible format with many-many offshoots. It’s an excellent overall news and information source and well worth a top ten slot.

No.7 bleepingcomputer.com

Bleeping Computer is well known for it’s highly technical reporting on malware, ransomware and viruses among many other topics. One of the best aspects of this site isn’t just the reporting and how technically well sourced it is, it’s that they include detailed deinstallation/removal methods as well. This is a great site for what to do if your computer is already compromised in many cases.

No.8 krebsonsecurity.com

Krebs on Security is run by Brian Krebs – a well established industry figure with an excellent reputation in the Cybersecurity world. This site is unique in that it features many of the investigations into the dark side of internet crime and the motives and bigger-picture story of what (and who) are behind many of the things we see in Cybersecurity.

No.9 securityweek.com

An excellent weekly enterprise computing/security news source. Security Week provides great information in a general sense, featuring articles on many top companies and services and the security issues/threats/stories thereof. Total top ten lister.

No.10 csoonline.com

CSO is a little bit different than the other sites mentioned here in that it is focused upon the industry leadership class of management (CISO’s) and those focused uniquely upon the rubber-meets-road level of risk management in an IT infrastructural environment. A must-read for those seeking well sourced information in this area of IT and Security.
