In-Person Interview With Unusual Russian Hacker

Location: Russian Taiga, Coordinates: Undisclosed

J: / Joshua     H: / Unusual Russian Hacker

J: Oh my, you really live here, or this is just a hideout?  Maybe I should stop recording.

H: You people from the West are no longer in balance with nature.  See all these trees and hills.  They are blocking EMF waves and the best part is that my brain is not being interrupted by Wi-Fi, 5G and other…   Damn mosquitos (smack).  and other crap, I can think straight, be more productive.

J: A camp fire may help?

H: Yeah, yeah give me 5 minutes to chop the wood.

J: Ok, now, we can talk.  Tell me a little bit about your life, how you ended up in cyber security?

H: My father was an engineer and by the age of 4, I already knew how to fully assemble a PC.  While other kids were playing with puzzles I was learning how to read, write, type..  hardware, software, coding..  and I was never into gaming, that’s a waste of time.  Same goes for cartoons.  Have you noticed how kids are disoriented after watching cartoons and playing games.. what ever you say to them is like talking to a tree…

J: I noticed there’s no network coverage and you have internet ?

H: Yeah, hi-speed net in the middle of nowhere…   I have over 37 kilometers of special cable that is fully undetectable and some gadgets that are helping me to stay under the radar.  If anyone comes anywhere near my checkpoints, I’ll be gone within a minute.  You know, security is my primary concern and in the real life, I’m just an ordinary person, nothing fancy to see, hear, notice..

J: What exactly you do for a living?

H: I’m a butler and over the weekends I am executing a large scale attacks against  critical infrastructures.  It grabbed your attention instantly haha.  I’m kidding.  I do a little bit of everything, from crypto to mitigation services.   You can rent me for many things as long as job is not causing any harm to other people. A 2 years ago I even managed to find a missing person by hacking into all available surveillance cameras within 80 plus kilometer radius.  So, everything is possible, as long as you have all needed resources to work with.  In this case, an advanced facial recognition technology that is not for public use and enough computing power to quickly process all the data.

J: Have you ever been involved in any type of cyber crime?

H: Have you ever read the Little Red Riding Hood?  I’m the wolf and you’re that little lady with cookies traveling through my forest.  I thought we already agreed about such questions…  I hate stereotypes!

J: Sorry, my mistake.  I have a better one.  How do you see the future of cybersecurity 30 years from now?

H: Hmm, 2053.  An entire world will be centralized and there won’t be such thing as cybersecurity, the internet won’t exist in this shape and form and only a handful number of people will have access to some sort of intranet that will be used mainly for communication and nothing else.  The internet addicts will exterminate each other when they realize that Instagram, TikTok and YouTube went permanently offline.

J: Wow.  So maybe we should think about some alternatives. Any suggestions?

H: Yeah, buy a piece of land, you’ll need it and start planting your own food…  don’t forget the garden tools!   And get a goat, goats will priceless! (laughter)

J: You mentioned that you’re also in a crypto business.  Share some insights with our readers.

H: An entire world will be digitalized.  Same goes for national currencies because someone decided that cash is no longer an option.  And if you ask me why it’s not an option any more, the answer is simple, the cash is not traceable!   And all this hype about bitcoins and other currencies is just a marketing campaign, so that people can more easily adapt to this technology and forget about cash.   Just look what is going on with BTC, it went up to over $25K.   Does that makes sense?  $25K+ for what? Thin air?  The hardcore truth behind that unreal value is that people who created crypto are actually rewarding people who are using it.  Usage is a promotion, a marketing.    And yes, it does have some kind of value, but when you convert it to real money and buy something with nothing, the economy goes down and then…  just a moment I have a delivery!

H: Are you kidding me, a donkey?

J: Dominos, hershey’s… want some?

H: Unbelievable.  And btw, I’m not sure am I allowed to ask this, but can you share some valuable info about unknown technologies?

J: Well, I say just a few words about things that may be obvious to some people.  The communication protocols that we’re using on a daily basis are just a tip of an iceberg.  There are way too many hidden protocols that no one is able to detect, scan, listen, interrupt etc..  and only the technicians with a proper hardware are able to use such protocols.  So, for instance, you have a Wi-Fi, and your neighbor has some advanced magic power and instead Wi-Fi, he’s using Bye-Bye protocol..   and it may happen that some of your devices have built-in support for Bye-Bye.. and then… you know…  no more privacy..

H: Is there any rock solid way to protect our privacy?

J: There is.  Limit the use of internet, forget about phones and spend more time in nature, surrounded by dense forest.  Nature will help you to survive and be safe from 95% of bad things in this world.  And always use cash, not because you have something to hide, but because cash flow will delay some things, some major changes on a global level.

J: In your opinion, who is the best hacker in the world?

H: The Government!

J: Are you working for a government?

H: I’m a lonely wolf that prefer to be left alone with my gadgets. So my answer is no.

J: What are your thoughts about AI?

H: AI will drastically increase unemployment rate in the following years and it’s funny how creators of AI are pushing those stories how AI will take the world, what if AI goes out of control etc..  so when something bad really happens, no one will blame the creators.  They’ll say, it’s not us, AI did it, there won’t be any responsibility… Hypocrites..  And the hard core truth is that they can unplug it any time, that’s a fact.   All actions performed by AI are programmed.  Everything in this world is being controlled by someone, so there’s no way that AI can make any major decision without knowledge of it’s creators.
